Bought to go with the saucier (see review below); does what it should and keeps the sauce warm until required. I ventured into Falk as I wanted to up my game in the kitchen. I had a couple of sauciers but they weren’t performing as expected. This has proven to be a great buy...heats up and reduces quickly. I am so pleased with it and it also looks beautiful.

Ok so what can you say about a lid? Well essentially it does it’s job well you can clean the outer surface using the approved cleaner and it looks great. You do have to be careful as the handle gets quite warm but other than that is great

(purchased with 18cm Pan) Without doubt these pans are engineered to a very high standard. Just a few minutes reviewing their construction, feeling the quality of the finish and using them for the first time will convince you they’re built to last. I can confirm with a little care the finish retains its beauty wash after wash. Even on my stove whilst in service friends have commented on how wonderful they look. A few have even bought their own pans after seeing mine! Iconic? I know it’s a pan right… Well if you care about what you cook, you’ll also care about how it’s cooked and that means having the right tools for the job in hand. Try this, close your eyes and imagine what the best pan in the world would look like? No doubt it’s copper and no doubt it will be built to last. Now go look at the Falk pan in the size you want. I prevaricated for far too long. Now what are you waiting for? Happy cooking!

I purchased the try-me offer a while back and didn't think I need this lid (as it is quite expensive for a lid). But I couldn't find anything that fits quite good with my saucier pan and decided to buy one. It is a really nice lid that matches the pan perfectly - functionally and aesthetically. I am really pleased about it and questioning myself why I didn't order it together with the pan at the first place. So for someone who is considering purchasing the try-me offer (or any other pan) out there, I would suggest to buy the lid together with your pan, saving the postage you would need to pay if you purchase the lid separately later.

"Replacing the lid of my French copper saucepan"

I bought this lid on order to replace the "cheap" in look and feeling lid (and also to get rid of re-tining) of my old French copper saucepan. The quality of this lid is not comparable with the original, making the old saucepan look better.
