Bought with the matching frying pan, it fits well and is robust. Have to use a towel to lift lid off during cooking as it gets too hot to handle but perhaps this is usual practice for long lasting equipment.

Bought this lid to use with my gratin and saute pans, i was slightly worried buying a lid not with a pan, but the fit is perfect. Good thick handle, and smooth steel inside so easy to clean!

This works wonderfully with the matching pan for heat retention. A generic lid will not give the same results.
