Having used my own lids on some of my Falk pans to start with, I can honestly say that having the matching copper lids is much more efficient for heat retention.

A necessary addition in my opinion.

Nachdem ich zunächst meine eigenen Deckel für einige meiner Falk-Pfannen verwendet habe, kann ich ehrlich sagen, dass die passenden Kupferdeckel viel effizienter für die Wärmespeicherung sind.

Meiner Meinung nach eine notwendige Ergänzung.

Any of the lids are well worth the extra investment.

They help to keep the energy use down and it locks in the flavours better when cooking with a lid.

Its also easier to direct any steam towards the cooker hood with a lid than without one!

Alle Deckel sind die zusätzliche Investition wert.

Sie helfen, den Energieverbrauch niedrig zu halten, und beim Kochen mit Deckel bleiben die Aromen besser erhalten.

Außerdem lässt sich der Dampf mit einem Deckel leichter zur Dunstabzugshaube leiten als ohne!

I own a whole series of Falk pots and love them. I am not convinced about the lids - got them to have a matching set with the pots but they don't add to the cooking experience. They feel flimsy and the handles heat up a lot. As a matter of fact, for stove top cooking, you DON'T WANT the lid to be so highly thermally conductive - just the opposite in fact. But they do match with the pots so I use them for esthetic reasons.

Ich besitze eine ganze Serie von Falk-Töpfen und bin begeistert davon. Von den Deckeln bin ich nicht überzeugt – ich habe sie gekauft, damit das Set zu den Töpfen passt, aber sie tragen nicht zum Kocherlebnis bei. Sie fühlen sich billig an und die Griffe werden sehr heiß. Tatsächlich möchte man beim Kochen auf dem Herd NICHT, dass der Deckel so wärmeleitfähig ist – ganz im Gegenteil. Aber sie passen zu den Töpfen, also benutze ich sie aus ästhetischen Gründen.

I bought this lid alongside the 14cm saucepan and have been using it since day one.

I've been using the pan to cook portions of porridge, grains, pasta, beans etc where having the lid has allowed the liquid to simmer away on a much lower temperature than usual.

If that's how you see yourself using the saucepan then I'd definitely recommend getting the lid as well.

Ich habe diesen Deckel zusammen mit dem 14-cm-Topf gekauft und benutze ihn seit dem ersten Tag.

Ich verwende den Topf zum Kochen von Porridge, Getreide, Nudeln, Bohnen usw., wobei ich dank des Deckels die Flüssigkeit bei einer viel niedrigeren Temperatur als üblich köcheln lassen kann.

Wenn Sie den Topf ebenfalls so verwenden möchten, würde ich Ihnen auf jeden Fall empfehlen, auch den Deckel zu kaufen.

Very attractive little lid. Love the handle which compliments it well and stays cool to the touch. Fits the 14cm saucepan very snuggly. Does everything it should whilst looking great!
